Football predictions · Market guide

Football predictions, market by market.

Every match ends in exactly one of nine possible boxes: a result, both teams scoring or not, over or under 2.5 goals. Know how big each box is and every market — BTTS, BTTS & Win, Over/Under, 1X2 — becomes easier to read.

The nine boxes every match ends in

Width = share of each result. Height = share of BTTS and goal outcomes within it. 2,001 matches.

Inside each column, top to bottom: BTTS & over 2.5 · BTTS & under · no BTTS & over · no BTTS & under. A win with both teams scoring always has three or more goals, and a draw without BTTS can only be 0-0 — so only nine of the twelve combinations can happen.

Combo FAQ

Markets and combos, explained.

All percentages come from finished matches in England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

How do I predict BTTS & Win?

It needs two things at once: the favourite to win and the underdog to score. In 2,001 recent top-five-league matches, the home side won with both teams scoring 21% of the time, and the away side 15%. Look for a strong team with a leaky defence facing an opponent that scores regularly — the classic 2-1 or 3-1.

Why are combo bets harder than they look?

Every extra condition cuts the chance. A home win happens in 44% of matches and BTTS in 54%, but both together only in 21%. Use the combo explorer on this page to see the real frequency before you combine markets.

What is Win/Draw/Win betting?

It is the classic 1X2 market: home win, draw or away win. Across these leagues the split was 44% / 25% / 31%. Start from that base, then adjust for the two teams, their form and home advantage.

How do BTTS and Over 2.5 relate?

They overlap heavily but are not the same. 43% of matches had both teams scoring and three or more goals. A 3-0 is over 2.5 without BTTS; a 1-1 is BTTS without over 2.5. If you like both, the combo usually pays more than either alone.

How do I approach half-time/full-time?

Estimate how likely each side is to lead at the break, then how likely that lead is to hold. Favourites at home are the most common HT/FT winners; draws at half-time are frequent, so "draw / home" is often a better-priced angle than "home / home".

Is Win to Nil the same as BTTS No?

Not quite. Win to Nil needs a winner as well as a clean sheet, and it landed in 39% of matches. BTTS No also covers 0-0 draws, so it is the wider net. If you expect a clean sheet but are unsure who wins, BTTS No is the safer of the two.
